For schools

The World of Energy is ideal for school trips because it covers the subject matter which is partly or wholly aligned with the curriculum. The centre is designed to provide knowledge that corresponds to primary and secondary school physics, energy technology, natural sciences, and ecology syllabuses.

Guided tours of the centre can be customized to suit specific age groups, so the basics of energy and energy technologies are presented taking into account prior knowledge and level of interest.

The World of Energy offers mentors and teachers:

  • Assistance in organizing and operating natural science and technology school outings (in combination with tours of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, the Brestanica Fossil Fuel Power Plant or the Krško City Museum).
  • Possible collaboration in working with gifted students.
  • Collaboration with mentors or interested primary/secondary school students in holding Saturday workshops.
  • Collaboration with mentors and primary/secondary school students in developing exciting new experiments, scale models or working models.

We recognize the importance of the problem-centred approach to learning and give our best to pursue it as consistently as possible. During guided tours we engage students to take an active role.

Guided tours of the World of Energy for school groups take 3 x 45 minutes (3 school periods).

Opening hours:

  • Tuesdays between 10:00 and 17:00,
